Jerad S. Marantz started his career at an early age interning for special effects houses. Trying a little of everything enabled him to narrow his focus to character design, creature design and costume concept illustration. His acquired skills in sculpture, painting, illustration, 3D modeling and Adobe Photoshop all aid his unique sense of design. Marantz’ s many credits include Batman vs. Superman, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rise of the Planet of the Apes,Noah, Clash of the Titans (Lead Designer), Sucker Punch (Lead Designer), Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Green Lantern, Snow White and the Huntsman,G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Riddick, American Horror Story,Grimm, Infamous 2 and others.
"I always look forward to Jerad’s creatures. He’s got a unique and realistic design style that is a great balance between fantasy and function. You believe these creatures were alive at some point. He has a raw talent and understanding of imagination, mixed with that human touch that you don’t find in most creature designers. Jerad Marantz is a true and pure creature designer to the core, even before all the new technology. Look at his sketches and you can see it there first."
