This week The Gnomon Workshop announces the release of its first instructional DVD on the Brazil 2 renderer for 3ds Max covering materials, shaders and texture maps.

This comprehensive look at SplutterFish’s Brazil 2 has just under seven hours of lecture, including a one hour lecture in which instructor Sebastien Chort demonstrates how to create a photorealistic still life. And if that weren’t enough to get you started, Sebastien also includes an extensive browsable library of 100 materials, 150 textures and 400 reference images.

Gnomon Workshop Producer Stephen McClure says, “Sebastien’s critical eye and extensive knowledge of lighting and rendering have been setting the standards in projects from Blur and currently DreamWorks. He is an artist that we can all admire and learn from.”
