Texture resource DVDs

This month, artist Jeremy Engleman returns to the Gnomon Workshop with a series of texture resource DVDs. This incredible series feature hundreds of original brick, metal and wood textures as 24bit, seamlessly tileable uncompressed tiffs. Also included are the corresponding bump and specular maps, textures with alpha masks, and more. This resource will prove indispensable to any artist who needs to texture his models quickly and efficiently. Also this month, artist/designer Dave Pasciuto provides the fundamentals of Adobe® Photoshop® with “Adobe Photoshop® for Digital Production.” This DVD instructs the student on the skills he needs to master this essential industry-standard application.

Two new training DVDs by Christian Lorenz Scheurer

The Gnomon Workshop, in conjunction with Design Studio Press, has released two new training DVDs by renowned matte painter and concept designer Christian Lorenz Scheurer. Utilizing Adobe Photoshop®, Christian shares his techniques for executing high-concept painting, including architecture, vehicles and characters. With these two titles, The Gnomon Workshop is also introducing a new format for our digitally produced Analog DVDs. Christian’s DVDs have been produced using high-resolution screen capture technology, allowing us to deliver his demonstrations using greatly enhanced image quality. Every tool, menu and technique is crystal clear in order to create an improved learning experience for the viewer.
