SPARTH
(Nicolas Bouvier)
Sparth,
the artistic alter ego of Nicolas Bouvier, has been an active concept
designer in the gaming industry since 1995. He has participated,
as artistic director and concept designer, in several major game
licenses such as Prince of Persia and Alone in the Dark. He has also
contributed to a large number of book covers for the French market,
illustrating Frank Herbert’s Dune saga, as well as several
novels from Jack Vance and Robert Heinlein.
Sparth has traveled extensively from an early age, living in the United States,
Singapore, China, France, and Europe. He has been influenced by many cultures,
observed people, and wrote down the details. He is passionate about space, buildings,
and robotics, but one of his greatest passions is contemporary architecture,
whose principles he experiments with in his own art.
Sparth currently lives in Montreal, Canada, where he works with the gaming companys
Darkworks Studio and Ubisoft Montreal.
